When telling some people about the mission trip I often got a response similar to "Be extra careful while you're there". I've got no problem with being careful but the way it was stated often portrayed some sort of fear, so I thought it would be appropriate to share one of my favorite scriptures in response to that fear. Psalm 27:1-3. The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident.

I heard this alot to, to be careful! For my it was all about trust though. Before I left I continually built my trust in the Lord and kept while I was out om that mission field.
